- Fluid properties required for thermal design
- Introducing process conditions and fluids to the software
- Heat Balance
- Allowable Pressure Drop
- Fouling factor
- Specifying shell side and tube side fluids
- Geometry
- Tube Selection: Size, Length, Pitch, Layout, Thickness, Number of Passes and Material
- Shell Selection: TEMA Type, Baffle Type, Baffle Orientation, Baffle Spacing, Baffle Cut, Nozzles (Location and Number), Impingement Plate
